The Chop-Tail is a 6" (just over 8" with rear hook) tail prop topwater. As with all our baits, the Chop tail is hand crafted with stainless steel thru-wire, prop and sheath. Solid Red cedar, sealed air brushed and top coated with several coats of True-coat epoxy. We spent years dialing this lure in and couldn't be happier with the result. The Chop-tail can be cast significantly further then resin or foam baits of similar design and stands out with a deep methodical "PLOP" Beneath the surface, the clicker rod works with every rotation producing that subtle metallic tapping that drives predator fish crazy.
